English:

The High School English programme for Years 7–10 aligns with the NSW English K–10 Syllabus, fostering advanced literacy skills across Stages 4–5 to prepare students for HSC success. Students engage with a wide range of texts, including novels, poetry, drama, films, and media, to develop skills in comprehension, text analysis, and critical thinking. Writing tasks focus on crafting essays, creative narratives, and persuasive texts, while grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation are refined to enhance clarity and expression. Speaking and listening activities, such as presentations and discussions, build confidence in oral communication. The programme also explores how language shapes meaning, encouraging students to think critically about texts and their contexts. With interactive lessons and personalised feedback, we ensure students become articulate communicators, ready for the demands of senior English.
